On Friday, after a quiet birthday at home, Juan and I headed into Tokyo to get our marriage paper work started and notarized. After our crazy trip to the embassy we headed to Asakusa Temple to see the sites. We did what any tourist would do. We ate the sweet red bean paste cakes, got our fortunes, did our little blessing at the temple. After wards we strolled around the shops until we found a nice little Indian place to have lunch. After lunch we left Asakusa for Ueno park and their many museums. Since the National Japanese Museum of Art was going under restoration, we decided to see the Salvador Dali exhibit at the National Gallery. WOW!!! over 60 pieces of fantastic fantasies for our viewing pleasure. Even though we had to fight the crowds... it was well worth it in the end. After a stroll back through the park and a cup of coffee we were ready to head home. All in all, a pretty nice day in Tokyo.
