So I wake up between 6:45-7:30, depending on the state of my hair. I try not to flash the neighbors as I get dressed and am out the door around 8am. I drive to school in my little go-cart atempting to find music on my radio. I get to school, open the gate and let myself in.
As always, I remember to change my shoes. Even though, my outfit goes from coordinated to dorksville in under 3 seconds, everyone wears indoor shoes at school.
It is another Halloween day. Today I am with the 5th and 6th graders. We are making halloween masks. There are prizes for best mask, most creative mask and scarriest mask.
If you ask me which one is supposed to be the scarry mask, I will hunt you down and put peanut butter up your nose while you sleep (and it won't be the smooth kind!)
Some of the masks are actually pretty good. I made them say trick or treat before they could get their candy, because Halloween is all about the candy!
After lunch is... of course... recess. This school is having an activities week, where kids from every grade are seperated into groups and each day they do a different activity. Here are some kids playing a Japanese variation of paper-rock-scissors, which they call Junken (and they kick my ass at it).
At the end of the day, all the kids gather together. Someone says a few inspirational words and it's SAYONARA time!
At this moment, I go sit at my desk and try to stay awake until 4:30. At some schools I attempt to look like I am working, at other schools I fiddle around on the internet and at my favorite school I sit down with a cup of green tea and teach the japanese english teacher bad words.
IN a nutshell, that is my day. Not too bad, I only have a few complaints, but they are minor and not worth mentioning. Till next time. Ja ne!
