THE BIG NEWS

OK kids here is is... the info you have been salivating to read. What I have been dangling in front of your face for a couple of months now, but have yet to inform you all about. READY????? Are you sure???

I AM IN LOVE!!!

and I am currently living with my man!!!! I am actually co-habitating with a member of the opposite sex!!! (Sorry to disappoint all the lesbians out there). Juan, my oldest friend, lover and handyman arrived this past Sunday. He has given it all up to come and live the adventurous life with me. Unfortunately life in Yachiyo isn't that exciting, which is why I am looking for jobs elsewhere. So Juan is currently spending his days in our cozy little home in the countryside being my personal live in maid and cook. He hasn't gone completely stir crazy yet, but after you work 2 jobs 7 days, 70 plus hours a week for a couple of years and then all of a sudden have nothing to do... that would make anyone feel lazy/crazy.

So what does this mean? Am I taken? Am I off the market?? YES and YES!!! I have a man and he has me. Which brings me to the second part of this big news.

I AM GETTING MARRIED!!!

WHAT????? you say!!! How come you have been keeping this from me???? Well... mostly for selfish reasons, that and the fact that I was afraid if I told everyone, Juan would get scared and not come, then I would really look the fool. And I thought we should tell our parents first... But alas, he is here and our future together is a GO!!! So before you ask all the questions I will try and answer a few for ya before y'all bombard me with e-mails.

Who is Juan? My oldest and dearest friend from high school... we have been secretly retarded for each other for years
When did this happen??? Officially... August-ish
When are you getting married? This December
Where?? In Japan
Why not in America?? Juan and I have a huge collection of friends and family. Our wedding would be 200 plus people at least... we just don't want a big show, nor can we afford it. We just want something small and private for us. Plus we just think it would be cool to tie the knot in a foreign country.
Getting Married in Japan??? We are not having a ceremony or anything like that. Unlike America, Japan does not require a civil service to be married. Just sign on the dotted line and POOF... you're married. Although western marriage ceremonies are all the rage in Japan... it just seems ridiculous to pay $5,000 plus dollars for just a fake ceremony in a plastic cathedral by some Caucasian foreigner in a fancy robe with a $25 Internet minister certificate. RIDICULOUS!!!
So no white dress, no flower girls (like I would have had them anyways), no nonsense! Sorry for those in the states... you are just going to have to wait until we come home for a visit to have a celebration. However for those of you in Japan, Juan and I are trying to plan a small cocktail party/reception for sometime in early January. We'll let you know as soon as we know where and when.

How can I send you words of congratulations and gifts of champagne and pie??? E-mail me... if you happen to be lacking our address from your Rolodex then I would be more than happy to e-mail it to you.

I am so friggin' HAPPY I could burst. I can't believe I held this information in for so long... and those of you who really know me... know I can never keep a good secret secret. If someone would have told me last January that I would be married before the year is out, I would have told them to check their meds... but I really am getting married!!! Maybe I should check my meds! HAHAHAHHA!!! Wish me Luck! More Marriage News to Come in the Next Couple of Weeks. LOTS OF LOVE to EVERYONE!!! MUAH!!!
