Employment

We've got jobs!!! This morning we got the e-mail we have been waiting for. Juan has scored a job and I have gotten a part-time weekday job. We sign the contracts on Monday, but it's a done deal.

What are we doing you ask?? Well... we will be teaching elementary school students English of course. The company already has their own program, all the students have books and all the schools have flashcards, CD and any other crap needed to teach this course. So what exactly are we doing??? We are going to be dancing, singing English Monkeys. Dance Monkeys..DANCE!!!

The pay is pretty damn good (hourly pay instead of salary). I will be working between 15-20 hours a week and Juan will hopefully be working around 30hrs a week (or more). The job is in Suginami, which is the city right below us. We will probably be able to take the bus to work(about 20 mins), which a lot easier than taking 3 trains (over an 1 hour). The company that hired us said we may even be able to work together at the same school every now and again.

I still have my full time evening job (NO! Not in a hostess bar!!) with the English School in Nakano (2 stops away from Suginami). Juan is also looking for a part time evening job to keep him out of trouble, but the urgency to gain a second employment is not so urgent. I mean who would do the laundry then [Just kidding hon ; ) But seriously... who would do the laundry??]?

So I just thought I would inform ya all that the Leons are doing well and things couldn't be going better (well maybe if we had some pie it would go better). JA Matta Ne!!! J n J.
