Hi everyone, Sorry about the lack of posts. Life has been really busy over the past week. We are all moved out of Ibaraki (it took 3 days in total) and are now in our cozy little apartment in Tokyo.
Our new place is in Nerima City, which is one of the 23 wards that make up Tokyo Prefecture. Yeah... I always thought Tokyo was a city too, guess we were wrong. Nerima is on the west side of Tokyo and is about 30 minutes from Shinjuku (if you catch the right trains). According to Wikepedia, there are over 12,000 registered foreigners here. And Nerima produces about 40% of all the cabbages sold in Tokyo (so we moved to the Yachiyo of Tokyo. hahaha).
Juan and I have already met some of our neighbors and the good news is that it took us less than 3 days to find someone to have a couple of cocktails with while playing cards. The majority of our apartment building is made up of English teachers and even our landlord speaks English. Ahhhh... I love Tokyo.
My first day of work was yesterday and Juan already had an interview and has another one set up for Wednesday. So I guess you could say that things are in full swing and with all the stress of moving I am really looking forward to Golden Week next month. I absolutely need a couple of days off.
So that's it for now. Pictures of the new apartment will follow in a few days (after all the boxes are thrown away and everything is in its rightful place). Change of address cards will hopefully be mailed out by the end of the week, so look for those in your mail boxes in a fortnight or so. Take care of each other.
Jody

Glad you're all moved in. Hey, did you get Specials by my friend Scott yet? I'm not sure if I sent it to you or not. There's a fourth one coming out this fall, too, called Extras, and it's set in Japan. Sounds very cool.
