Wedding Gifts

Hi Everyone!!!

I know some of you are still fretting over what to send the newlyweds. So I have decided to give ya a little help.

Even though everything we receive is highly appreciated, it is a little hard to send big things over seas and traveling around with a set of fine china (yes Barzak... even if it is Limoges) is a little unpractical for us.

We have received several generous Visa gift cards from loving relatives, but even these pose a problem for us. Unfortunately Japan is still a cash run society and credit and debit cards are not used on a daily basis. The majority of the stores we shop at are family establishments where cash is still king. These cards can not be used in cash machines and usually maintain a small balance on them that are nearly impossible to use (IE 156 yen!!).

So the best solution we have come up with is this. If it is money you want to send (and not delicious pie for me or a soldering iron for Mr. Leon), then we suggest sending it to one of our loving parents and entrusting them not to gamble it all away at the Indian casinos. If you are in need of their addresses we will happily oblige you with them. Thank you for all of your continuing love and support.

Lots of Love from Japan,
Mr. and Mrs. Leon

PS If you have purchased a lovely picture frame for us... please return it for pie. We are ankle deep in picture frames, but there isn't a pumpkin pie in sight. Smooches!!
