A fun night out with my students

After a long week of work, most of us want nothing more than to unwind with a couple of friends and a couple of beers. Luckily enough, Juan and I were invited out for a night of fun with my Wednesday night adult class.

They took us to a Tapas bar in Koenji (sorry I don't remember the name). Johnny, the cook/ bartender/ waiter/ host/ entertainment/ British owner was a kick in the pants. And before long we were eating prosciutto freshly cut off the leg and drinking sangria and beer. There were a random mix of foreigners and Japanese. One minute were chatting with my students and the next minute this older gentleman was trying to convince us that Juan has a pretty good shot at a career on Japanese TV. RANDOM!!!

Afterwards we took a cab to... to... I have no idea where we went. All I remember is that there was a bar and we were somewhere near a train station on the Seibu-Shinjuku Line. Anyways... my great students took us to a little bar, which I think was originally someones living room. My students have other Japanese friends who also speak English, including the bartender and we spent the rest of the night watching/listening/singing to 80's dittys on the TV while drinking the most random concoctions mixed by our better than average English speaking bartender. When the room started to spin I knew it was time hop in a taxi in attempt to find our way home.

Luckily for us... we eventually found home and Juan and I ended our evening by immediately falling asleep. Good times!!! However next time we go out with my students I promise remember the names of the places we visit and to take more pictures before we get completely drunk.
