At school

I am currently at school. Final exams start this Friday and end next Wednesday. Needless to say, things are a bit hectic around the school. Having said this... I have noticed a strange thing happening in the teachers lounge. Everyday in the morning and again around lunch time, there are an abundance of male teachers sitting in the lounge watching TV. What are they watching??? A Japanese SOAP OPERA of all things!!!

Apparently, every morning they show a 15 minute drama episode on TV. And in case you missed the morning one you can watch (or in the case of my school, re watch) the repeat at lunch time (which is universally 12-1 in Japan). From what I can guess, the show is about college aged girls in super short skirts who keep stealing each others boyfriends and getting into fights with each other at night clubs. Occasionally they go to school or work, but the majority of the time they are just out and about in short skirts.

According to another teacher, the reason all the male teachers are more obsessed with the show than usually is because it was rumored that an old character would be reappearing on the series. OMG!! HAHAHA Men obsessing about soap operas! Only in Japan!
