So Dave (like you know who he is) 's birthday was this past weekend and lucky for us (me and the Shimo girls) he was celebrating it in Shimodate. Which means, that it is close enough for us to get drunk and take a cab home. YEAH!!!!!
SO we headed down to an Izakaiya (Japanese bar) for all you can drink and some choice japanese snack food. It isn't spicy chicken wings, but it was just as good.
Dave's friends came along to... and low and behold, guess who kept coming through the door.... The people from the Cabin Party in Ashiyo. So we got to meet a couple new friends and got to get reaqainted with a few old ones.
After imbibing a lot of beer and grapefruit and so-chu (you squeeze your own fruit, but hey... at least I know I will never get scurvy here) we headed out to the "Shidax, Please!" (actual name of establishment) for an evening of karaoke!!!
This is Dave's non-japanese girlfriend Anna showing off her socks and scarf. Loved her! She was definatly a new friend. We exchanged cell phone info immediately and are planning on getting drunk at a vinyard in Tochigi on Saturday!
Here is the birthday boy singing ... I don't really remember, I was trying to flirt with the guy who was wearing corduroyed pants (You know me and corduroyed. What a wierd fetish to have. Don't you think?)
These are my girls (both now brunette beauties)... Singing, Drinking and being THE KICK IN THE PANTS they always are! If it wasn't for them, we would not know about the Shidax's all you can drink and sing for 4 hours for 30 bucks deal!!!
They put us into a small room... way to small for 15 crazy, drunk Gaijin! We brought in extra chairs and by the end of the night everyone ended standing up on the furniture while singing, dancing, trying not to step on anyone, fall over or spill their beverage. Comedy!
As always Crystal and I over dressed, but hey.. what are you going to do about it. At least we looked hot for any potential guys that were going to be at this party (there were none, but hey... at least we were prepared).
All in All, it was a great party. Hopefully, Dave had a good time because I know I did! Happy Birthday Man!
