This week the Colonel has been brought back from the dead. Well... actually from the bottom of the Dotonburi canal in Osaka.
In 1985 The Hanshin Tigers of Osaka won the Japanese World Series. During the celebrations, some enthusiastic fans threw Colonel Sanders into the Dotonburi Canal. And hence forth... the Tigers have never won a championship again. The Curse of the Colonel is considered urban folklore in Osaka and is well know by most Tiger Fanatics.
But as of Tuesdy, the curse has been lifted... out of the canal that is. I guess there is no excuse for loosing anymore. Play ball!
